Chamber Chairman Chris Wyatt and CEO Alastair Alexander attended the second of the Mayor’s Business in the Parlour Events last night. It was a  hugely successful and enjoyable evening, and with thirty people attending, the Parlour was at its capacity. Indeed, the acceptance has been so high that follow-on events have been arranged for the 26th March and 14th April.

The Mayor, Cllr Jane Cooper, introduced Cllr Ravi Govindia and Cllr James Cousins who spoke of their encouragement for business in the borough and support for the Chamber. The Mayor also took the opportunity to introduce Nick Smales (left)  the newly appointed Head of the Economic Development Office. He comes to the borough from Tower Hamlets where as Head of Regeneration he was very much involved with Canary Wharf and, more recently, the Olympic venue.

Alastair Alexander spoke about the exciting developments taking place at the Chamber with and expanded programme of events with quality speakers and the plan to introduce a high-powered Business Advisory Service.
