The Chamber's first event of the year was a full house at the Alma Hotel to hear tw presentations and to take the opporunity to network with established, new and prospective members. Steve Pinto, Deputy Chairman and director of events introduced the two speakers and talked about the developments taking place in the Chamber and the exciting new events planned during the year.

The first speaker was Jonathan Shelton, Development Manager at Workspace Plc who described their facilities and in particular the work space available at their new development in Wandsworth which provides an affordable and flexible environment, ideal for SME's with varying demands. An interesting point is that Workpsace's tenants on average, do more than half of their work with other tenants in the same building.

He was followed by  Steve Thomson who gave a stimulating talk entitled "Presentation Power - More than Words", which kept all those present on the toes emphasising the need to create the right positive impression within the first seconds of contact. We plan for him to give a fuller presentation later in the year.

This was followed by the usual opportunities for extensive networking - an excellent start to the New Year.
